How a Mac works – Language H
Mac

Mac knows all the language. Here you can see up right the menu for the language: on my Mac i’ve setted the italian as the main laguage and all the software is in italian (and in this way i can write in roman letters), but i’ve setted japanese kanas and kanji too, so i can easily use them and change from italian to kanji just with a simple keyboard combination (⌥+⌘+space). Now i’ve done an experiment: if i set japanese as the main language, all is related to japanese and all the software so too (pay attention to the upper bar). Here you can see i can choose so many other input system: from the knowest to the most subtle ones.

so wen u uninstall without backing up the app, are u screwed?

  8. DJTI99 sagt:

No uninstall, and they don’t prompt you for an admin password to install, which is a gaping security hole. I am not impressed at all.

If they bring the Game Center to the mac and don’t give us the option to fully delete it I promise it’s going to be bloody in every Mac Peoples Store on this very planet!

@ironwolg Some people have never upgraded to the latest versions of iLife and only need the a la carte programs and not the whole suite so it makes perfect sense for them to sell individual iLife apps such as Garageband.

@mcatbagan yepp you click the apple, then software update and ya let it download (:

@Ironwlog kinda its not an update, you have to buy it, think of it like a sequel. The previous one was good so let’s go see the next one. (though each new version is probably should be an update since there’s not that much content, it’s still worthy, plus I can use iTunes money to buy real games!)

@osbl30 ah i see so basically you can install updates and not have to wait for the discs to ship? that’s pretty spiffy, but if you do it make sure you make a backup disc just in case

  19. osbl30 sagt:

@ironwolg Older Macs (like mine) came with older versions of iLife. So now we can easily buy iLife 11 in MAS if we want :)

i really don’t see anything that’s too useful to me lol and why do they have garageband and pages in there anyway? all macs come with those things ayway don’t they?

  23. DickKnowsBest sagt:

@BQSurfer I still wouldn’t be the same experience without DX10. But it will be a start. OSX is still my favorite OS for Video editing, 3d Modeling + Rendering, Image editing (photoshop) and Internet Browsing.
